OBITUARIES

Grace S. Nilsen, nee Rabe, 92, a longtime resident of Elmwood Park and a survivor of the Eastland ship disaster, died Jan. 6 in Villa Scalabrini Nursing Home, Northlake.

Mrs. Nilsen was born March 30, 1907. Prior to her retirement she worked as a comptroller for Western Electric. She was a lifetime member of Berwyn Chapter of the Easter Star and a member of the Telephone Pioneers Club.

She was the wife of the late Norman; mother of John (Joyce) Nilsen; sister of Kenneth (Virginia) Rabe; aunt of one niece and two nephews. Visitation was held Jan. 9 in the Lewis Funeral Home, Elmwood Park.

Funeral services were conducted Jan. 10 in Christ Episcopal Church, River Forest.

Interment in Oakridge Cemetery, Hillside.
